New Sauna Recall in Canada: What Customers Need to Know and Why Product Research Matters

When Canadians purchase a sauna for their home, they should feel confident that the product has been carefully selected and comes from a brand the retailer is prepared to stand behind.

On September 17, 2026, Health Canada announced a recall involving certain infrared saunas, hybrid saunas and infrared kits manufactured by Sauna360. The affected products were sold under several brand names, including Finnleo, Tylo, Polar, Radiant Health and Helo.

It is important for Relaxacare customers to know that Relaxacare does not carry any of the sauna brands or models identified in this recall.

We do extensive research before adding products and brands to our selection because our customers should not have to do all that work alone.

What Caused the Sauna Recall?

According to Health Canada, the infrared panels in certain affected saunas and infrared kits may short-circuit and overheat, creating potential fire and burn hazards.

The recall affects several product series, including certain:

  • B Series saunas
  • IG Series saunas
  • S Series saunas
  • IS Series saunas
  • Kiruna and Kiruna Hybrid models
  • Pause models
  • Sentinel and Sentinel Hybrid models
  • Elite models
  • Custom and semi-custom infrared kits

Health Canada reports that approximately 6,758 affected units were sold in Canada, while the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that approximately 41,580 units were sold in the United States.

As of September 10, 2026, the company had received five incident reports in Canada and 67 reports in the United States and internationally involving overheating, melting, charring or burning. No injuries related to this overheating issue had been reported at the time of publication.

Consumers who own an affected product should immediately stop using it and contact Sauna360 to arrange a free professional in-home repair.

Customers can review the complete list of affected brands, models and instructions in the official Health Canada sauna recall notice.

Are Any Relaxacare Saunas Included in This Recall?

No. Relaxacare does not sell the recalled Sauna360 products or the affected Finnleo, Tylo, Polar, Radiant Health or Helo sauna models identified in this recall.

Customers who purchased their sauna from Relaxacare can have peace of mind knowing that the products and brands named in this particular recall were not part of our sauna selection.

Although this recall does not affect our products, we believe it is important to keep customers informed whenever a significant safety notice affects the home-wellness industry.

Transparency is part of standing behind the products we sell.

We Research Products So Our Customers Don’t Have To

Purchasing a sauna is a major investment. Customers should not be expected to become experts in electrical components, heating systems, manufacturing histories, warranty coverage and product certifications before making a decision.

That is part of our responsibility as a retailer.

Before adding a sauna brand or model to our selection, Relaxacare considers factors such as:

  • Manufacturer and supplier history
  • Product construction and heating technology
  • Electrical requirements
  • Safety certifications and documentation
  • Warranty and replacement-part availability
  • Manufacturer responsiveness
  • Installation requirements
  • Customer feedback and product performance
  • Long-term service and support options
  • Available recall and safety information

No retailer can promise that a product will never experience a problem. However, retailers can make careful decisions about the brands they carry, respond quickly when concerns arise and remain available after the sale.

That is the standard Relaxacare works to maintain.

Standing Behind Our Products and Brands

Relaxacare believes that selling a sauna involves more than completing a transaction.

We stand behind the products and brands we carry by helping customers before, during and after their purchase.

Our team works to provide:

  • Clear product specifications
  • Guidance on electrical and space requirements
  • Delivery and installation information
  • Warranty assistance
  • Troubleshooting support
  • Manufacturer coordination
  • Replacement-part assistance
  • Ongoing customer communication

If an issue affects a product we sell, our responsibility is to communicate clearly, investigate promptly and help the customer understand the appropriate next steps.

Our customers deserve a retailer that remains involved after payment and delivery.

Why Buying From a Specialized Wellness Retailer Matters

Online marketplaces can make thousands of products available, but a large selection does not always come with product knowledge, careful brand selection or dependable after-sales support.

A specialized wellness retailer should help customers answer important questions:

  • Who manufactured the sauna?
  • Does the model have the appropriate safety documentation?
  • What electrical connection does it require?
  • Who provides warranty service?
  • Are replacement parts available?
  • What happens if a safety concern or recall is announced?
  • Will the retailer still be available after delivery?

Relaxacare does this research because our customers should be able to focus on choosing the right wellness product for their home—not investigating every manufacturer on their own.

Customer Safety Comes Before Making a Sale

We want to offer competitive prices, more products and exciting new wellness technology. However, growth should never come at the expense of responsible product selection.

Our team continues to review the products and brands we sell while monitoring manufacturer notices and official safety information.

The recently announced sauna recall is an important reminder that the company behind the product—and the retailer standing behind the customer—matters.

A Message From Relaxacare President Jason Perricone

“When a customer purchases a sauna from Relaxacare, they are trusting us to do more than ship a product. They are trusting us to research the brands we carry, provide honest information and remain available if they need support.

None of the sauna brands or models identified in this recall are sold by Relaxacare. We carefully evaluate the products we offer because our customers should not have to do all that research themselves.

We stand behind our products, our brand partners and, most importantly, our customers.”

—Jason Perricone, President of Relaxacare
